Margaux Salcedo

Margaux Salcedo is Undersecretary at the Department of Budget and Management.

 

She is Group Head for Economic Affairs, Advocacy, Stakeholder Relations, and Capacity Development. 

​

Prior to joining government, she was Communications Consultant for the Department of Budget and Management under the Duterte Administration, as well as a freelance media strategist and crisis management consultant.

 

She was spokesperson for the presidential campaign in 2010 of former President Joseph Estrada. From 1997 to 2002, she was news anchor of GMA News Live.

 

In 2019, she became founding editor-in- chief of the award-winning Catholic website DominusEst.PH.

On the lighter side, she has been a food critic of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, with a column entitled First Class, published on Sundays in the Business Section, and previously a column entitled Menu in the Sunday Inquirer Magazine.

She has a Juris Doctor from the Ateneo Law School, where she was Senior Associate Editor of the Ateneo Law Journal, and an Economics degree from De La Salle University.
