The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in cooperation with the Department of Finance organized and hosted several investment briefings in the Middle East. The biggest one was the Philippine Economic Briefing in Dubai.
I had the honor of hosting and moderating the panel with Nick Edwards, Regional Communications Head of HSBC. The panel consisted of Finance Secretary Ben Diokno, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, BSP Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila Jr., and BSP Assistant Governor Arifa Ala, who chairs the Inter-agency Working Group on Islamic Banking and Finance.
