Had the joy of celebrating the birthday of his eminence, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle with his family on June 22, 2024. He happened to be in town because he gave the commencement address for the graduating batch of Ateneo de Manila 2024. His birthday is in fact June 21 but he had to deliver the speech on this day.
The celebration began with mass concelebrated by several priests including Fr. Jason Laguerta, now parish priest of Sta Maria Gorreti but still Executive Director of the Philippine Conference on New Evangelization and Msgr Esteban Lo who is now rector of the National Shrine of San Lorenzo Ruiz (Binondo Church) but continues to be the executive Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in the Philippines.
A highlight of the celebration was Cardinal Tagle singing in Spanish and then his mom Nanay Mila Gokim Tagle singing Salamat sa Diyos. We missed Tatay Maning who is recovering, pls pray for him.
Cardinal Tagle turned 67. Please pray for him as he continues his mission as Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery on Evangelization.
